It's rare I listen to an interview and think, I have to go buy this book--but I have to go buy this book. In part, because as someone who "adult-ed" in the 80s, I lived through the early days of the AIDS crisis (I lost a ton of friends)--and therefore, the premise here grabbed me. (Not to mention topics of sisterhood.)
Finally--Mara is absolutely captivating--and...okay...forgive me for this slightly vacuous comment--but her mug matched her wallpaper in a way that made my inner design geek swoon.
