"Skill set short and deep"--I loved this--it felt like "permission granted"--since 250 pages is about my limit....(Otherwise, I get REALLY tired of the sound of my own voice.)
Also, I feel like short is "in" right now. Not that we write to trends, but it's pretty nice when a trend aligns with what we write. ☺️
I have agonized for months about the 70k word count of my novel. I feel so much better--and we do sooooooo like being part of the "in crowd." 🤪
I have written shorter and shorter over the years! This is a good club we're in together.
